MISSOULA, Mont. – Montgomery Distillery in Downtown Missoula is offering a unique way to celebrate New Year's Eve this year, catering to those who prefer an earlier night.

Kelsey Gordon, the general manager of Montgomery Distillery, explained the motivation behind the early celebration. "We just wanted to cater to some of the folks that want to be in bed before midnight," Gordon said.

The distillery will be aligning their celebration with Brazil, allowing patrons to experience the Brazilian Ball Drop at 8:00 p.m. local time. "We looked into a few options. We're like 'Okay who's four hours ahead and lines up with our time?' And we're going to show the Brazilian Ball Drop. Which the ball drops in Brazil at 8, which is perfect for us," Gordon stated.

This family-owned local distillery is embracing a Brazilian theme for the evening. They will be serving Brazilian-inspired cocktails as they ring in the New Year alongside friends in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, who are four hours ahead.

Gordon emphasized that this event offers something different for the Missoula community this year. It serves as a starting point for those who may continue their celebrations later into the night.

As patrons gather at Montgomery Distillery, they could expect to hear "Parabéns Feliz Ano Novo" instead of the traditional "Happy New Year."
