Kris Truelsen and Country Casserole will perform live in Jonesborough this Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m.

JONESBOROUGH — Music on the Square, one of Jonesborough’s classic summer outdoor music concerts, will host Kris Truelsen and Country Casserole in Downtown Jonesborough from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 25, on the steps of the Washington County Courthouse. Music on the Square continues each Friday evening through September 26.

Just like a homemade casserole, Kris Truelsen & Country Casserole serves up a one-of-a-kind blend that’s comforting, familiar, and full of flavor. Their sound combines elements of Americana, folk, country, and rock ‘n’ roll, with a lighthearted twist that makes each performance a treat for the audience.

Although the group is new, its members are well-known talents. Leading the band is Kris Truelsen, host of Radio Bristol’s Farm and Fun Time, who has been writing and performing music for nearly two decades. He’s joined by Nick Lawrence on guitar, Rebecca Branson Jones on pedal steel, Sarah Griffin on bass, and Levi Trent on drums. Together, they bring lively and soulful energy to the stage that is sure to delight concertgoers of all ages.

This week’s food truck is The One Saigon. A rotating food truck will be featured each week throughout the season. Attendees can also visit our local Downtown restaurants.

Music on the Square is a free event open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to ensure a seat.

The July 18 Music on the Square performance which was to feature Trey Hensley was postponed due to bad weather. The event will be rescheduled at a to-be-determined future date.
