RISING SUN — Pamela J Tomlinson Tibetan uses her songwriting talents to advocate for human rights throughout the world, and has nearly 122,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Before she found a knack for songwriting, she started Kids Defense Team, a non-profit helping law enforcement get pedophiles off the internet. She ran this from 2004 to 2014 and helped put away nearly 5,000 people committing crimes against children.

From there, Tibetan started writing with titles ranging from “Why is my Daddy in Jail” to “Grady the Groundhog.” A few years ago when she was writing a book called “Connected Hearts” her publisher suggested incorporating a poem. However, the poem she turned in was more musical than she realized when her publisher told her it was a song.

Intending for it to be a poem, this is an expert from the first song Tibetan ever wrote:

“Until I met you I never met a love like this

I never imagined I could feel this bliss

All I want is to see your face in person

To hold, to kiss you and to tell you you are perfect

My heart aches for you each and every day

My beautiful wife who takes my breath away

I will wait for you forever until we finally meet

And our life together will be oh so sweet

Connected Hearts, Connected Souls

I know we are meant to be together

Connected though, we are oceans away

But, I know this love will last forever.”

With her new found talent for songwriting, she started seeking out artists to bring her art to life through music, since she wasn’t much of a singer herself.

“I started finding artists to sing the songs. And I just never went back to writing books, and just kept writing songs,” Tibetan said.

Since many artists in the United States are expensive to work with, Tibetan used Facebook and the freelancing site Fiverr to connect with artists abroad in Africa.

One of her artists, Brown Ke, is from Nigeria. Ke is planning to sign with Groove Lab Productions in Indiana and move to the United States soon to create his own music. But for now, Tibetan pays for his schooling abroad while he works with a producer named Bosh to create music from her songwriting.

Tibetan recently wrote a song called “Nigeria Vaccinated” to advocate for Malaria and Typhoid shots in Nigeria, because people get sick almost three to four times a month. Nigeria accounts for nearly 50% of terminal malaria cases worldwide.

“If they want to go abroad, the first thing they’re going to do is get shots for Malaria and Typhoid, so why can’t they just get vaccinated?” Tibetan wondered.

In addition to songs about public health issues, Tibetan also covers human trafficking, domestic violence, and more in her songwriting.

“I’m kind of a spokesperson for seeing that they are taken care of,” Tibetan said. “If it can help somebody, I’m going to write it.”

With her Public Relations manager Sunny Orji also in Nigeria, Tibetan’s songs have been played at local football games during the opening, halftime, and the ending of competitions. One of her love songs, “Let Me Feel You” served as the first dance song for a high power couple’s wedding in Nigeria as well.

She now has around 90 songs on her YouTube channel.

“My main focus is just getting my music off the ground so it can make a difference in the world,” Tibetan said.

Currently, she is trying to connect with people impacted by Hurricane Helene to write a song about what they’re going through in order to advocate for and help them.

“The reason I do this is because I want to impact the world. My logo PJT music means music with purpose,” Tibetan said.

In the future, Tibetan wants to get into sync writing to get her songs in commercials, TV, and movies.
