ASSAULT / DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED: A deputy responded Nov. 6 to an address on Neddy Mountain Road regarding a reckless driver who stopped and got into an altercation with the complainants. When the deputy arrived on scene he spoke with the complainants who stated that Andrew Thurman, 26, was driving a Ford Edge with a drive-out tag fast on the road. The complainants stated they yelled at Thurman to slow down. They then stated Thurman returned to the front of their residence and got into an altercation. The complainants stated Thurman then threatened to shoot them causing them to be in fear. The deputy then observed a vehicle matching the description traveling on Neddy Mountain Road. A high risk stop was conducted and all occupants were detained. The passengers confirmed they did stop at the residence and there was a confrontation. Thurman stated he never threatened anyone with a gun. He gave consent to search the vehicle and nothing was located. Thurman was issued six citations with a court date set in General Sessions Court. A licensed driver came to the scene and picked up the vehicle. All parties were released from detainment.

PROBATION VIOLATION: On Nov. 9, deputies traveled to an address on Bear Branch Road to serve a felony probation violation warrant on Chuck Kelley, 51. Once on scene deputies made contact with Kelley inside the home. He was placed under arrest and transported to jail.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: On Nov. 10 a deputy was dispatched to J&S Mini Mart on East Highway 25/70 regarding a female, Tonya Weathers, 52, who was trespassed from that address Nov. 9 by another deputy. Dispatch confirmed Weathers was trespassed on that date. The officer arrived on scene and made contact with Weathers coming out of the restroom. She was placed in custody and transported to the jail.

PROBATION VIOLATION: On Nov. 10 a deputy came into contact with Jeffrey Young, 48, on a traffic stop. Dispatch advised that Young had an active probation violation out of Sevier County, which stated they did want him. Young was placed under arrest and transported to Bush’s Beans, where Sevier County took him into custody.
