SHREVEPORT, La. – The 24th annual Cooper Road USA Parade and Festival took place in north Shreveport Saturday.
Festivities began with a parade at 11 a.m., starting at Green Oaks High School and ending at the David Raines Community Center.
Shreveport City Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor served as grand marshal, and Toni Thibeaux, assistant vice chancellor of diversity affairs at LSU Health Shreveport, was the guest of honor.
The festival at David Raines Community Center ran from noon until 7 p.m., with food, health screenings, and a variety of vendors.
