The Smith County Republican Women's Club will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 11:30 a.m. at the Potpourri House, located at 3320 Troup Hwy. in Tyler. Fellowship will begin at 11 a.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Christin Bentley, the State Republican Executive Committeewoman from Senate District 1 and Chair of the Republican part of Texas’ Legislative Priority: Stop Sexualizing Texas Kids. The topic of discussion will be previewing the 89th Legislative Session.

Bentley is an education consultant who specializes in special education advocacy. She is a former special education teacher who taught in public schools. A Christian and a sixth-generation Texan, Bentley currently resides in Winona with her husband Greg and two sons, Cody and Max.
