The Main Stope Art Gallery is hosting the "Toni and Paul's Little Show," works of Toni Seccomb and Paul Guillemette, with a special opening on Friday, Aug. 1 from 5-8 p.m. at 14 S. Dakota. in Uptown Butte.

Story Ball by Paul Guillemette
Guillemette presents a series of ceramic balls with simple line drawings he calls "Story Balls."
He encourages anyone to pick them up, turn them around, and make up a story from the images. “My work,” he says, “has been of simple objects that I find beautiful.” Guillemette hails from Minnesota but was a member of The Main Stope Gallery for 10 years. His work is in the permanent collection of The Montana Museum of Arts and Culture in Missoula. The Holter Art Museum in Helena also keeps his work in their permanent exhibit.

Seccomb, a longtime and current member of The Main Stope, describes herself as a sculptor and watercolorist. Her rural Wisconsin childhood complete with an auto junkyard for a playground has influenced her found-metal sculptures. She is the winner of several local and state art awards.
She has collaborated with Guillemette in sculptures for this particular show. Variety makes her happy, so her sculptures can be humorous, political, abstract, and realistic. Seccomb will be present on Friday to answer any questions the public may have about her work.
Friday’s opening is open to all ages and will feature the music of Cindi Shaw. Light refreshments will be served as well as drink. "Toni and Paul’s Little Show" runs throughout August.
