Enmark shooting suspects

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WFXG) - Two people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection to the Enmark convenience store shooting that happened in February in Aiken. The shooting left at least two people injured.

Trayvon Tawian Copeland, 22, and Chadd Lamar Hooper, 23, were taken into custody the morning of December 10 without incident.

The shooting happened at the Enmark convenience store on Edgefield Highway in Aiken at 11:15 p.m. the night of February 19. The two victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Aiken County dispatch told deputies a man was shot in the chest and arm at pump 8 at the gas station, according to the incident report. Dispatch also explained a black car was seen leaving the scene and got into a crash at the intersection of Edgefield Highway and Croft Mill Road. A man was then seen running into the woods.

The man in the black car had injuries to his leg and head. Aiken County EMS treated patients at the scene.

Both Copeland and Hooper have been booked in jail on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
