Douglas County Senior Assistant District Attorney Victoria Hicks received the Award of Achievement for Service to the Public from the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia

Douglas County Senior Assistant District Attorney Victoria Hicks was recently honored by the state’s bar association.

Hicks received the organization’s Award of Achievement for Service to the Public from the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia during its annual meeting last month.

She was honored for her dedicated service to the legal profession and justice system.

Hicks has worked for the county’s district attorney’s office for three years. Prior to coming to Douglas County, she worked in the Rockdale County District Attorney’s office.

She has been a part of high-profile convictions in the county since joining the county office.

“ADA Hicks is a wonderful asset to our team,” District Attorney Dalia Racine said. “This award is well-deserved. Victoria exemplifies the work ethic and dedication to our community from our entire team that we are extremely proud of. Her recognition by the state bar reflects her outstanding work and our office’s commitment to excellence and justice for Douglas County.”

The Georgia YLD is comprised of approximately 10,000 lawyers admitted to the State Bar of Georgia who are 36 years old or younger or who have been admitted to their first bar no more than five years.
