Qatar Airways has secured the title of World's Best Airline for the eighth time at the Skytrax Awards, emphasizing the superior service provided by its modern fleet in the highly competitive global aviation sector.
UK-based Skytrax collected votes from more than 21 million customers in the closest race since 1999, according to CNN. Singapore Airlines claimed the titles of World's Best Cabin Staff and Best Airline in Asia.
Japan's ANA All Nippon Airways was awarded World's Best Airport Services and Best Airline Staff Service in Asia. Meanwhile, Saudia was named the World's Most Improved Airline, and AirAsia received the World's Best Low-Cost Airline accolade for the 14th year in a row.
Other awards recognized airlines from various parts of the world. Delta Air Lines received the title of Best Airline in North America and the award for Best Airline Staff Service in the region.
Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, airBaltic, and Hainan Airlines also received best airline awards for Africa, Europe, Eastern Europe, and China, respectively.
Cathay Pacific topped the World's Cleanest Airlines category, followed by ANA, EVA, Qatar, and Singapore Airlines.
