In a significant upset, the Cleveland Browns handed the San Francisco 49ers their first defeat of the football season with a final score of 19-17. This victory, was not the only blow the 49ers received, with two key players, wide receiver Deebo Samuel and running back Christian McCaffrey, suffering from injuries during the game.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel and running back Christian McCaffrey experienced shoulder and oblique/rib injuries during the game held at Cleveland Browns Stadium. According to ESPN, these injuries were severe enough that neither player managed to finish the game. Coach Kyle Shanahan, when asked about the injuries after the game, did not have immediate information on their severity.

As reported by the Cleveland Browns, in the third quarter, K Dustin Hopkins scored a 46-yard field goal, giving the 49ers their first second-half deficit of the season. Furthermore, the Browns' defense performed well by limiting the 49ers to 108 rushing yards. The 49ers will now have to wait and see the extent of the injuries sustained by Samuel and McCaffrey. Fans remain hopeful that the star players will recover quickly and return to form for subsequent games.
