On Monday, Spotify revealed its plans to raise its premium subscription price for the second time in a year, according to multiple reports. American Spotify users receive information about the changes to their subscription fees in the coming month, according to CNN.

The Individual premium plan will now cost $11.99 for U.S. users, or $1/month more than the previous price of $10.99. Spotify previously raised the price of its premium plan to $10.99 in 2023. With the most recent price hike, the company has increased the price of its premium plan by 20% in just two years.

Spotify's "Duo" plan will also increase to $16.99, and its "Family" plan will increase to $19.99, according to CNN. The "Student" plan will reportedly remain at $5.99. In a blog post, Spotify mentioned that the price hike will enable the company to "continue to invest in and innovate on our product features."
