Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) have announced the lineup for two of Chicago’s annual fall music festivals, Chicago Jazz Festival and World Music Festival Chicago.

The Chicago Jazz Festival will return to Millennium Park this Labor Day weekend from August 31 - September 1 to celebrate jazz in all its forms.

Produced by DCASE and the Chicago Institute of Jazz, this year’s lineup will include performances at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion by GRAMMY-winning jazz legend Ron Carter and Foursight, acclaimed American jazz singer Dianne Reeves, prolific drummer and composer Makaya McCraven, and celebrated Cuban band Juan de Marcos and the Afro-Cuban All-Star.

Additional performances will take place at the Chicago Cultural Center, with highlights including the Natalie Chiff Quartet and Bobbi Wilson. Free jazz concerts will also occur at venues across the city the week before the festival, made possible by the Citywide Jazz Community Funding Program.

World Music Festival Chicago is back for its 23rd year with ten consecutive days of music from 22 different countries, from September 22 - October 1. This year’s lineup features a diverse selection of music from regions like Brazil, Senegal, and South Korea.
