Lakeview baker and co-owner of Chicago Sugar Daddy Patisserie, James Cox, is headed to Food Network’s ‘Halloween Baking Championship.’ As a fan of the baking championship show, Cox applied for several years with no success before being invited by producers on Instagram to try again.
Cox has been baking for over 20 years and finally has the chance to show his skills on national television. He is the only contestant representing Chicago this year and is already anticipating using the new techniques he learned in his Lakeview bakery. Cox may even offer his episode one desserts, “tarot-misus” and killer clown cakes, as a limited special.
Season 9 will air weekly on Monday nights at 8 p.m. (CT) on Food Network and can also be streamed on Max and Discovery+.
