One of Chicago’s favorite summer traditions is back. The Millennium Park Summer Music Series returns beginning June 15, bringing an eclectic mix of acclaimed artists, emerging talent and hometown favorites to the iconic Jay Pritzker Pavilion for a season of free outdoor concerts.

Running on select Mondays and Thursdays through August 6, the annual series invites music lovers to spread out on the Great Lawn or grab a seat beneath Frank Gehry’s striking pavilion while enjoying performances that span hip-hop, jazz, Latin music, funk, soul, indie rock and global sounds. Gates open at 5 p.m., with concerts scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The 2026 season kicks off on Monday, June 15, with Grammy Award-winning hip-hop pioneers Arrested Development, joined by Linda Sol and DJ Ca$h Era. Just days later, the series celebrates Juneteenth with “Let the Spirit Out! A Jubilant Celebration of Juneteenth,” featuring D-Composed and Kahil El’Zabar’s Ethnic Heritage Ensemble alongside special guests Nona Hendryx and David Murray.

Additional highlights include legendary percussionist Sheila E. on June 22, R&B and jazz icon Patrice Rushen on June 25, Brazilian music legend Marcos Valle on July 16, Colombian rock favorites Aterciopelados on July 27, and instrumental funk collective The Budos Band on August 3. The series concludes August 6 with “GRAMMY Legacies and Looking Ahead,” featuring Lila Iké, Chicago’s own Grammy-winning artist Matt B and DJ Blair Elise.

Concertgoers are welcome to bring picnics and enjoy an evening under the stars, making the Millennium Park Summer Music Series one of the city’s signature summertime experiences. Admission is free, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
