Chicago's iconic lakefront destination, Navy Pier and its partners are turning up the excitement this summer with a packed calendar of events, live entertainment, family activities and cultural celebrations.

Following the announcement of its largest-ever season of Pier-produced programming, Navy Pier is inviting visitors to make the most of the season with everything from fireworks and festivals to concerts, cruises and family-friendly experiences.

Beloved summer traditions return throughout the season, including Summer Block Parties, Movies at the Pier, Summer Sundays, Live on the Lake, Wave Wall Wax and Skyline Sessions at the Ferrara Candy Wave Wall Stage. Guests can also enjoy the Pier's restaurants, attractions, shops and entertainment venues while taking in some of the city's most spectacular waterfront views.

Among the summer highlights is the 40th anniversary celebration of the classic film Ferris Bueller's Day Off on June 11. Harry Caray's Tavern will host a baseball watch party inspired by the movie's famous pizza parlor scene, complete with pizza, baseball and a tribute to the late Harry Caray and his memorable cameo in the beloved Chicago film.

The annual Overnight Walk returns June 13-14, bringing together thousands of participants in support of mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The event is open to all and promotes hope, compassion and community.

Pride Month celebrations continue June 27 with Pier Pride, featuring live entertainment, music, performances and dancing along the lakefront.

One of the summer's biggest celebrations arrives July 4 when Navy Pier hosts what organizers are calling its largest public fireworks display ever. Visitors can enjoy special holiday cruises from City Cruises, festive events at Margaritaville and front-row views of the Independence Day fireworks over Lake Michigan.

International flavor takes center stage July 12 during Bastille Day festivities, while sneaker enthusiasts can explore hundreds of vendors during Got Sole on July 25, a festival dedicated to sneakers, collectibles, trading cards, streetwear and luxury items.

Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the season. The first weekend in June features discounted admission to the Chicago Children's Museum, while International Day of Play on June 11 will encourage creativity through interactive activities and community-building challenges.

The Chicago Air and Water Show returns Aug. 15-16, and visitors can experience the action from the water aboard City Cruises Chicago vessels and Seadog sightseeing cruises.

Adults looking for a summer outing can participate in Offshore Rooftop's Paint and Sip event on June 11 or attend Coffee Fest on June 12-13, a gathering focused on coffee education, networking and industry innovation.

Music fans can look forward to performances throughout the season, including ISOxo's HARDCOREDIVA TOUR on Aug. 21 and Sunset Jazz with saxophonist Elan Trotman on Aug. 23.

Several summer-long experiences will keep visitors coming back throughout the season. Trivia on the Lake takes place every Thursday through Sept. 3 at the Navy Pier Beer Garden, while Lirica and Offshore Rooftop are featuring seasonal menus and cocktails inspired by summer flavors.

The Chicago Children's Museum is also debuting "Castle," an interactive exhibit that invites children to explore secret tunnels, towers, rope bridges, marketplaces and more through Jan. 10, 2027.

Harry Caray's Navy Pier launches its Summer Music Series with live entertainment every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through Sept. 4, while Chicago Shakespeare Theater hosts the North American premiere of Brokeback Mountain through June 28.

Additional offerings include Family Fun Sundays at Offshore Rooftop beginning June 7 and Local's Happy Hour events at Reunion by Chef Art Smith throughout the summer.

With special events, live music, cultural celebrations, family activities and unforgettable lakefront experiences, Navy Pier is once again positioning itself as one of Chicago's top summer destinations.
