It’s never too early to plan for Chicago Gourmet— especially when Chicago’s signature food-and-wine celebration returns this September with an impressive lineup of chefs, tastings and culinary experiences designed to tempt every palate.

Scheduled for Sept. 24–27, the annual festival will once again transform Millennium Park and the rooftop of the Harris Theater into a playground for food lovers, wine enthusiasts and cocktail connoisseurs. Over the years, Chicago Gourmet has evolved into one of the city’s most anticipated social and culinary events, attracting celebrated chefs, hospitality insiders and visitors from around the country.

This year’s theme, “Let Your Tastebuds Dance,” hints at the lively atmosphere guests can expect throughout the weekend. Attendees will have opportunities to sample dishes from many of Chicago’s top restaurants while enjoying premium wines, handcrafted cocktails and interactive culinary experiences against the backdrop of the city skyline.

Popular events such as Hamburger Hop, Tacos & Tequila, Grand Cru and the Rise & Shine Gourmet brunch are all expected to return, each offering its own distinct flavor and energy. From elevated comfort food to globally inspired cuisine, the festival continues to spotlight the creativity and diversity that define Chicago’s dining scene.

In addition to tastings and parties, live chef demonstrations are planned at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, giving guests an insider’s look at techniques, trends and culinary inspiration from some of the industry’s biggest names. The festival has long been known for bringing together award-winning chefs, emerging talent and nationally recognized restaurateurs in one setting.

Chicago Gourmet also serves a larger purpose beyond the indulgence. Proceeds benefit the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, which supports hospitality education and workforce development programs throughout the state.

Since its launch in 2008, the festival has become a showcase for Chicago’s ever-evolving culinary identity — one that continues to earn national recognition for innovation, talent and world-class dining experiences.

Tickets are currently available, with several events expected to sell out well before September. More information can be found at Chicago Gourmet.
