Families travel through a whimsical holiday pathway to meet Santa on the 5th floor, where both traditional and Black Santa experiences are available—Fridays from 2–7 PM and weekends from 12–7 PM. Reservations are encouraged as Santa holds court daily now through December 24 at 111 N. State St.

Santa Under the ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo

The Lincoln Park Zoo shines even brighter when Santa arrives during its beloved ZooLights festival. Visitors will find him at the Pepper Family Wildlife Center, with sensory-friendly nights offered for kids who need a quieter environment. Santa’s stay runs through December 23 at 2001 N. Clark St.

A Snow-Kissed Sleigh Scene at 900 North Michigan Shops

If you’re looking for an elegant holiday backdrop, the 900 Shops Santa Experience offers visits with Santa in a vintage sleigh glowing under sparkling lights. These sessions, which require reservations, run from now through December 24.

A North Side Wonderland at Gallagher Way

Just steps from Wrigley Field, Gallagher Way becomes Santa’s weekend workshop. Families (and even pets!) can meet Santa every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, now through Dec. 21 at 3637 N. Clark St.

Holiday Magic at the Brookfield Zoo

At Brookfield Zoo’s long-running Holiday Magic celebration, Santa appears among millions of lights and festive displays. Families can greet him now through Dec. 21 at 8400 W. 31st St., with regular admission and parking fees applying.

Illuminated Santa Visits at Chicago Botanic Garden

During the Botanic Garden’s enchanting Lightscape experience, Santa adds extra sparkle to glowing trails and musical pathways. He appears Dec. 16, 17 and 18 at 1000 Lake Cook Rd. in Glencoe; timed tickets are required.

For a more upscale holiday outing, Santa offers photo sessions amid Oakbrook Center’s seasonal decor. He’s available now through December 24 at 100 Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, with photo packages available.

A Holiday Adventure on the Water: Santa Sleigh Ride Cruises

For a truly unique Chicago memory, families can cruise the river with Santa himself. Island Party Hut and Chicago Fireboat Tours have turned the Riverwalk into a tropical-meets-winter “Tiki Wonderland.” Cruises board at 355 E. Riverwalk South every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 21 to December 21, with rides launching every 45 minutes. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for kids ages 4–12, and free for children under 3—weather permitting, of course.
