In time for the Halloween season, Bucket Listers has introduced the first-ever Buffy: The Slayer Experience, which is open now in Wicker Park and will run through Sunday, October 27. According to a press release, the spooky event was inspired by the Emmy Award-winning series Buffy the Vampire Slayer produced by 20th Television.
“We pride ourselves on creating concepts that can’t be found anywhere else,” said Bucket Listers President of Experiences Derek Berry in a press release. “Fans have asked us for years to do our take on Buffy and this felt like the perfect time. We couldn’t pass up the chance to work with such a beloved show and to bring Sunnydale to the Midwest for the Halloween season.”

The immersive activation includes a restaurant and cocktail bar, a training ground, and a haunted house. Taking inspiration from the show, the experience showcases a full recreation of the hallowed halls and storied library of Sunnydale High. Guests will get a chance to participate in stake-throwing lanes and fight off fictional vampires on the rooftop, which will be made into a recreation of the show’s Restfield Cemetary.
Each ticket comes with either one themed Blood Bag cocktail or mocktail, and the space will provide a curated menu of signature-themed “Bites.” Throughout the run of the activation, special-themed ticketed nights will be put on, including Vampires vs. Slayers or the inaugural Grave Rave.

Favorite photo moments from the show will be on display, and Buffy fans can also enjoy customized tarot card readings and a magical shop filled with exclusive merchandise. Guests who complete the training ground will receive a Sunnydale High Diploma.
