It’s that time of year again! Chicago’s most anticipated summer festival, Wicker Park Fest, is back from July 28 through July 30. The annual street festival brings the best in alternative music and local arts to the heart of the Northside!
The street fest will take over Wicker Park along Milwaukee avenue from Damen to Ashland Avenues, and feature 50 bands, as well as dozens of local food, drink, and art vendors. Each year the event attracts visitors to Wicker Park from all over the country, with more than 90,000 attendees expected for 2023. Some featured music artists include:
- Built to Spill
- Dreamer Isioma
- Lido Pimienta
- Biig Piig
- The Good Life
- Speedy Ortiz
- Miloe
- Jackie Hayes
Festival entrance is free, but a $10 donation is suggested to support the event. The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce uses the donations to increase neighborhood visibility and promote local business. The Chamber is partnering with Burr Elementary, giving 100% of ticket sales from activities in the Kids Fest area to the school.
Festival dates and times:
- Friday, July 28 (5 p.m. - 10 p.m.)
- Saturday, July 29 (noon - 10 p.m.)
- Sunday, July 30 (noon - 10 p.m.)
