Country star Morgan Wallen is heading back to Chicago this weekend as the singer prepares to bring his signature brand of country music to Soldier Field.
The shows, which will be held on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, are part of the musicians' “Still the Problem Tour.” The spring and summer run will cover 11 cities and 21 shows, with two-night stands in all but one of the stops, according to NBC Chicago.
The tour is tied to the artist's 2025 album, “I’m the Problem,” a critical and commercial hit which, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot 200 charts. The album was certified platinum four times and spawned six top 10 singles. The RIAA confirmed that the record marked Wallen's fourth official studio album and third to peak at the top of the charts after 2021’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” and 2023’s “One Thing at a Time.”

Each show will feature three opening acts, with rotating lineups across the tour, according to Variety. The top support slots will be filled by Thomas Rhett, Hardy, Ella Langley and Brooks & Dunn. Soldier Field announced that the openers for the Chicago shows will be as follows:
Friday, June 19: Brooks & Dunn, Gavin Adcock, and Zach John King
Saturday, June 20: Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, and Zach John King
Wallen’s tour is stadium-heavy, routing through cities including Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Ann Arbor and Philadelphia.
Ticketmaster reported that Wallen’s 2026 setlist is expected to include songs such as “Don’t We,” “I Wrote the Book,” “I’m the Problem,” “One Thing at a Time,” “I Got Better,” “Dark Til Daylight,” “Ain’t That Some,” “Cover Me Up,” “I’m a Little Crazy,” “Wasted on You,” “Thinkin Bout Me,” “More Than My Hometown,” “Just in Case,” “The Way I Talk,” “I Had Some Help” and “Sand in My Boots.”

Despite profound musical success, Wallen has also found himself at the center of controversy in the past for transgressions. A 2021 incident occurred where the singer was caught yelling racist remarks out the window of his Nashville home, as well as a 2024 arrest for reckless endangerment after throwing a chair off the roof of a bar, NBC Chicago noted.
Wallen also addressed his recent past in a video for the “I'm the Problem” Tour, saying, “I'd like to think that over the past year I've grown a ton,” according to NBC Chicago. He added, “There was, for a long time, I had a lot of things holding me back and I feel like I've said goodbye to a lot of those things and I'm proud of the results that have come from doing that.”
Tickets for the shows are still available on resale websites.
