Free pizza! Recycling wanted

On November 7, Coca-Cola is partnering up with Lou Malnati’s and local pizzerias nationwide to launch the Toss In, Take Out initiative. The initiative is a restaurant takeover, serving up free slices of pizza in exchange for recycling efforts.

Customers can bring empty plastic beverage bottles, including non-Coke products, to be recycled in exchange for a free cheese deep dish slice. Coca-Cola expects to save over 37 million pounds of plastic in 2024. It is expected to reduce over 39,000 tons of CO2 annually in the U.S. This new initiative hopes to progress the brand’s World Without Waste goal. They wish to use at least 50% recycled material bottles and cans globally by 2030.

When: Tuesday, November 7 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Lou Malnati’s West Loop (1235 W Randolph Street)
