Sip & stroll at Brookfield Zoo Chicago: Adults-only Zoo Uncorked to light up the night

Brookfield Zoo Chicago is bringing back Zoo Uncorked, an after-hours event for guests 21 and older on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event gives adults exclusive access to the grounds, with specialty cocktails, mocktails, live music and a nighttime view of the zoo.

Tickets include entry to the East Mall and The Pavilions from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., while the full zoo opens for exclusive after-hours access from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m, according to the zoo website. Guests must show valid ID and be at least 21 to attend.

Food, drinks and animal chats

The one-night-only menu features slow-roasted leg of lamb served on pita, sopes, flatbreads, panzanella, donuts and more, the press release confirmed. Drink options include beer, cocktails and mocktails such as “Gin in the Wild” and “Pink Palomino.”

Zoo Uncorked also includes Zoo Chats with animal care experts, live music, free parking in the North Lot, photo opportunities, giveaways, unlimited free Carousel rides and the last chance to ride the Ferris Wheel during the event, according toBrookfield Zoo Chicago.

The zoo said the event is meant for a summer evening of “sipping, strolling and exploring,” and it is marketed as a date night, girls’ night or general night out. Tickets and additional details are available throughBrookfield Zoo Chicago.
