Six Flags Great America, the Midwest’s ultimate destination for thrill seekers, has debuted its newest attraction, Sky Striker. The amusement park, located just an hour outside of Chicago, first announced the new ride in the fall of 2023.

The tallest pendulum ride in the Midwest, Sky Striker is a whopping 17 stories tall and can reach speeds of 75 miles per hour, according to Six Flags. Soaring to a height of 172 feet in the air, the attraction will provide riders with incredible views of the park.

“Sky Striker is set to redefine the thrill experience at Six Flags Great America,” said Park President, John Krajnak. “As a major thrill attraction, it is the perfect complement to the record-breaking lineup of roller coasters that our guests look forward to season after season.”

Sky Striker is set to open to the public soon. Visit the Six Flags Great America official site to stay up to date and plan your summer trip.
