Chicago's famed Air and Water spectacular will soar over the lakefront once again this August, one week earlier than usual! According to WGN, The Chicago Air & Water Show has been scheduled for August 10 and 11 this year to avoid conflicts with the Democratic National Convention, which will be held at McCormick place from August 19-22.

The Chicago Air & Water show has been a city tradition since 1959, and stands as the only event of its kind in the nation, according to Choose Chicago. Over the course of the three day event, the Royal Air Force Red Arrows, the US Navy Blue Angels, US Army Parachute teams, and other military aircraft will soar across the city in a one-of-a-kind display.
