Downtown Chicago commuters can start their morning with a free treat when Stan’s Donuts and Millennium Garages distribute 2,000 mini chocolate-dipped donuts on Thursday, Nov. 5. The giveaway begins at 7:30 a.m. and will continue while supplies last, according to the announcement.
The promotion is tied to National Donut Day and is open to guests who park at one of Millennium Garages’ four downtown facilities. Each parking transaction qualifies for one individually wrapped donut. The event listing also confirms that 500 donuts will be available at each garage.

Where to find the free donuts
Visitors can claim the free Stan’s treat at Millennium Park Garage, Millennium Lakeside Garage, Grant Park North Garage or Grant Park South Garage. The offer is limited to the first available supply at each location, so the full 2,000-donut total may not last throughout the morning.
Millennium Garages said the partnership is meant to thank commuters, residents, and visitors who use its downtown parking facilities. According to the press release, the company operates more than 9,000 parking spaces across four underground garages beneath Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park and Grant Park.
“Most people do not expect the best part of their morning to start in a parking garage,” said Paul Sanett, chief revenue officer of Millennium Garages, per the announcement. “That is the idea behind this partnership. Stan’s is a Chicago favourite, and this is a simple way to thank the commuters, residents and visitors who use our garages to access downtown.”

Stan’s Donuts has operated in the Chicago area since 2014, when master baker Rich Labriola opened the first location through a partnership with Stan Berman, founder of the original Los Angeles shop, according to the announcement. The company now has 40 shops in the Chicago area and sells donuts, coffee, and breakfast items.
“Stan’s loves finding new ways to show up for Chicagoans,” said Katrina Sarovich, chief of staff at Stan’s Donuts, per the press release. “Partnering with Millennium Garages lets us bring a small treat to people at the start of their downtown day.”
The giveaway is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Participants must park at one of the four listed garages, and the free donut is available only while supplies last.
