If there is anything Chicagoans can all agree on, it’s that our great city is lucky enough to have one of the finest food scenes in the world. With so many neighborhoods, unique cuisines and new restaurants to explore, choosing where to dine out can be almost overwhelming.

Located in the heart of River North, one restaurant that is a must-visit for locals and visitors alike is The Smith. Started in the East Village of New York in 2007, The Smith’s emphasis on culture and creativity has helped the restaurant group grow to six locations across the U.S., with four in New York, one in Washington D.C., and one right here in Chicago, which opened in 2019.

Since then, The Smith has been one of the cornerstones of its neighborhood, offering a broad selection of food, cocktails, and wine inside a spacious, expertly crafted interior space that creates an elevated yet comfortable atmosphere that feels welcoming for all occasions. The restaurant also features a sizable and stylish bar area perfect for a quick drink on a night out, as well as a brunch menu on the weekends.

The Smith recently rolled out their new Fall menu featuring comforting, mouth-watering flavors that pair perfectly with the cooler months ahead.

Seasonal highlights from the new menu

Black Truffle Arancini — A fun spin on the classic Sicilian street food, balls of mushroom risotto and mozzarella are accentuated with just the right amount of truffle to create a cozy starting dish perfect for sharing with the group.

Chips + Dip — A returning fan favorite, The Smith’s Chips + Dip does the impossible by bringing a genuinely original experience to the timeless app. Housemade potato chips paired expertly with a creamy fondue, caramelized onion and blue cheese dip is a dish you do not want to skip.
