Score free soft serve at a Pete Crow-Armstrong favorite: Chicago steakhouse Adalina Prime

Chicago’s Adalina Prime is marking its first anniversary this week with a giveaway that puts its signature soft serve in the spotlight. According to a press release by the restaurant, through Sunday, Sept. 6, diners will get a complimentary chalice of the dessert with lunch, dinner or happy hour, with no minimum purchase required.

The West Loop steakhouse has built a reputation for blending upscale dining with playful touches. Its anniversary offer comes as the restaurant continues to draw attention for dishes that have made it one of the city’s more talked-about dining rooms.

Deals, dishes and draws

Along with the free soft serve, Adalina Prime is extending anniversary happy hour specials from through Friday, Sept. 4. The menu discounted favorites during weekday happy hour, including $1 oysters and $11 caviar chicken nuggets—a steal compared to the recently popular $100 chicken nuggets with caviar being served at the ongoing U.S. Open.

The restaurant, named among Robb Report’s Most Beautiful Restaurants in America in 2025, has become a favorite for diners and celebrities including Steph Curry, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Caleb Williams, according to the restaurant. Its menu includes tteokbokki, mac and cheese, and an interactive house-made salt library, along with the dessert that helped inspire the anniversary celebration.

The soft serve is offered in coconut, strawberry, or a swirl of both. Adalina Prime says the treat has become one of its most photographed dishes, serving as both an after-dinner finish and a popular add-on to weekday lunch.
