Viral west-coast doughnut sensation Voodoo Doughnut is undergoing a Midwest expansion, with a new location planned for Chicago’s Fulton Market. The company announced in a Facebook post that they will soon occupy a recently painted pink storefront at 945 W Randolph Street.
“BIG NEWS, CHICAGO!” read the company’s post, “Anyone recently notice a vibrant pink storefront in the Fulton Market District? Well, hold onto your hats, because Voodoo Doughnut is headed to the Windy City SOON! Updates to come.”
Voodoo Doughnut was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 2003 and has since grown to 19 locations around the US, according to the company’s site. The company is best known for its wacky doughnut flavors and designs and its pink storefronts and boxes

Since its inception, Voodoo Doughnut has become a viral sensation, popping up on MTV, Good Morning America, The Today Show, across social media. Fan favorite flavors include the award-winning bacon maple bar and chocolate-raspberry voodoo doll doughnut.
Voodoo Doughnut CEO Chirs Shcultz told Block Club Chicago that the Fulton Market location will have Chicago-specific doughnuts on the menu but teased that customers will “have to wait until the opening to experience it.”
Voodoo has yet to announce an opening date for the Randolph Street location, but according to Block Club, Chicagoans could be able to visit the store before the end of the year.
