“Secret Garden” pop-up blooms at The Dandy Crown in River West through Mother’s Day

The patio at The Dandy Crown in River West bursts into bloom again. The “Secret Garden” pop-up brings eternal spring to the city for the second year, according to a press release. It opened on the first day at the end of March and will run daily through Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10.

This floral and botanical escape offers a city respite. Guests can sip spring-forward libations amid flowers and greenery. The enclosed patio stays cozy with five fire pits, the announcement states. The Secret Garden welcomes all, including friendly dogs.

Floral cocktails steal the show

The menu dazzles with colorful, floral-themed cocktails. Try “Touch Grass,” made with wakame-lemongrass infused rhum agricole, banane du bresil, lime, and thai basil honey, the press release confirms. “Locked in the Shed” features chamomile-infused Dickel Rye, ume plum liqueur, saffron, honey, and lemon expression.

Other highlights include “Shiso Tipsy” with jasmine and peach blossom-infused vodka, dry vermouth, and shiso tincture. “Through the Garden” blends cucumber-infused Tanqueray Gin, Italicus, hibiscus, citrus, soda, and celery salt. “Do Not Disturb” mixes Ketel One vodka, Mr. Black, espresso, lavender, amaretto, and almond milk on the side.

“Molten Gold” uses marigold-infused Cazadores reposado tequila, mango, turmeric, lime, cocoa bitters, and toasted chili heat. “Sangria Bonita” combines dry Spanish red wine, berries, brandy, and rose. “Dreamland” offers gin, violette, blackberry, yuzu, coconut, and mystery bitters. “Hugo Deluxe” pairs Floyds Deluxe lager, Aquavit, elderflower, and lemon. 

Non-alcoholic options shine too. “Flower Shop” is a THC cocktail with Nowadays 2mg THC spirit, strawberry, rose, and lime. “Dandy Lemonade” has lemon oleo saccharum, fresh juice, and sea salt. “Sleepwalker” uses N/A whiskey alternative, lemon, and chamomile.

Easy access and special events
