Chicago’s largest mural festival Titan Walls will return this month to District Brew Yards from August 5 - 10, bringing together renowned mural artists from around the world for an immersive creative showcase.

Presented by Chicago-based art activation agency Muros, the 2024 installment of Titan Walls will welcome 9 muralists from across the globe to the Windy City for a week of live mural painting and fun-filled events.

According to Muros co-founder and president Tricia Binder, the mission of the festival is to bring incredible art to Chicago for an exclusive once-a-year experience.

“There’s a lot of phenomenal mural artists here, there’s others from around the world, and [the festival] is an opportunity for us to bring these artists and the community together to enjoy this art in the making”, said Binder.

Over the course of the nearly week-long festival, the Titan Walls 2024 class of artists will engage in live mural painting. Attendees will have the chance to watch the artists in action, observing their process and seeing how the massive artworks come together.

The Titan Walls 2024 artists represent a range of different artistic styles, cultures, and practices, providing attendees with a breadth of creative experiences.

The festival will also feature music, food and drink vendors, pop ups, retail, giveaways, and more. Main events will take place on Saturday August 10, with live DJs, Pickleball tournaments, guided art tours, and a donut pop up courtesy of Dunkin'.

Saturday’s events will also include the launch of the Muros Country Club, a shaded relaxation area where guests can unwind with food and drinks and enjoy a live musical performance from World fusion steelpan group Callaloo, performing original compositions in Latin and Caribbean styles.

“When we first started Muros, one of the most exciting aspects of our work was watching murals come to life,” says Muros co-founder and president Tricia Binder.

“We wanted to build an event that would invite the community to be a part of that impactful experience, while infusing other summertime passions into the mix – namely, music, beer, barbecue and sunshine.”
