Ford is conducting a significant recall of over 312,000 vehicles in the United States due to concerns over the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module failure, which could lead to loss of power brake assist. The affected models include the 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger, according to Reuters.
The EBB module failure can occur while driving or when using the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature. This malfunction increases the risk of accidents due to extended stopping distances. As reported by CNBC, the remedy involves updating the EBB module software either over-the-air (OTA) or at Ford dealers, free of charge to vehicle owners.
Ford, which has issued multiple recalls this year, is also addressing other issues. The company is recalling certain 2025 F-150 Hybrid models due to a seatbelt warning chime malfunction. Additionally, a recall affects several Broncos with specific upfit kits that interfere with rearview camera operation.
