Chicago has always been home to some of the brightest talent in the film industry: Harrison Ford, Bernie Mac, Robin Williams, Jennifer Hudson, Jenny McCarthy, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler, to name just a few. So any opportunity to view up-and-coming local filmmakers should get Chicagoans riled up – who knows if you’ll meet the next Walt Disney or John Cusack?
On Tuesday, March 21, from 7-10 p.m., Shytown Sugar Films and 21H2 will host Chicago Indie Film Night at Davis Theatre. The night will showcase film genres and shorts from some of the best Chicago filmmakers. Additional featured works will include music videos and trailers.
Most notably, this will also be the premiere of Thirty Days, a short film written and produced by Sarah Kopp.
Filmmakers David Tarleton and Adria Dawn, Kino Crew Productions, Jennifer Scott, Sarah Falkiner, Sienna Hassett, Mariana Duncan, Travis Monroe Neese, and Nick Foreman will be present at the event.
An after party will be held at Ricochet’s Tavern, where guests can mingle with the filmmakers. This event is free to the public with advanced registration.
