The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry has been named one of the "27 Best Museums in the World for Art, History, and Cultural Wonders" by Travel + Leisure.
Celebrated for its massive scale and immersive environments, the historic institution stands alongside elite global landmarks as a must-visit destination for travelers worldwide.
Housed in the historic Palace of Fine Arts from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, the museum is the largest science center in the Western Hemisphere. The publication praised the institution for its ability to seamlessly bridge education and innovation across a vast array of fields, including design, energy, manufacturing, and technology.

The Griffin Museum shared this prestigious honor with an elite group of historic art repositories, cutting-edge science centers and cultural landmarks across the globe. According to the Travel + Leisure official list, the other 26 institutions recognized alongside Chicago's premier science destination include:

- Culture & Natural History: National Museum of China (Beijing), National Palace Museum (Taipei), Smithsonian Natural History (DC), Natural History Museum (London), Museo del Oro (Bogotá), Museum of Yugoslavia (Belgrade), High Mountain Archaeological Museum (Salta), and Wits Origins Centre (Johannesburg).
