The Chicago Food Truck Festival has been rescheduled in response to the July NASCAR street race. It will now occur from Saturday, July 29, through Sunday, July 30 in Chicago’s South Loop.
Bringing the community delicious dishes for the 10th season in a row, the festival will feature a variety of different food trucks, local beers and wines, and outdoor games. Anticipating around 50 vendors this year, the festival is prepared to bring local foodies some of the region’s top mobile chefs.
A fan favorite, Happy Lobster, known for its fresh lobster rolls, will return this year. Other choices include Tacomotora, which will serve up fresh Mexican street food, and Frankie’s Restaurant, featuring burgers and pizza.
Free admission tickets are now available for reservation alongside VIP admission tickets, which will provide early access and free drinks. Tickets purchased or reserved for the previously scheduled June dates are still valid for use in July. The festival will take place at 2300 S. Indiana Ave. and runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
For those unable to join in on the fun, the Chicago Food Truck Festival offers catering from over 150 different food trucks all year round.
