Celebrate Oktoberfest this fall with The Haymarket Center’s Bavarian Block Party, from Saturday, September 16-Sunday, September 17.
The weekend-long festival will offer guests an authentic taste of German culture, featuring popular German foods and beverages, as well as traditional American fare. Attendees can enjoy live music, with performances by German polka bands and local rock groups. The event will also feature vendor booths, family-friendly games, and other activities.
The Haymarket Center is a non-profit organization which serves Chicagoans struggling with substance abuse disorders. Since 1975, the organization has provided treatment and support to more than 12,000 people annually, regardless of their ability to pay.
The Bavarian Block Party will be held at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Sangamon Street in the West Loop. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting The Haymarket Center’s mission of combating addiction and helping those in need.
