The Chicago Bulls have made the first big moves of their new era as the team used a pair of first-round selections in the 2026 NBA draft to bring in two highly regarded young prospects who hope to help shape the franchise's future for years to come.

Armed with both the fourth and 15th overall picks, the Bulls entered the night in one of the strongest positions it had held in years, possessing multiple opportunities to add elite talent to a roster already featuring a core of promising young players.

With the fourth pick, the Bulls choose Caleb Wilson from the University of North Carolina, according to the NBA. Wilson, a 6-10 forward, starred in his lone collegiate season for the Tarheels thanks to his unique combination of length and athleticism, a skillset that has become trendy in the modern NBA landscape.

Wilson had been projected as a top pick in this year's draft, with Chicago billed as one of the likely destinations for the Atlanta native. At just 19 years old, the Bulls will aim to develop the player's all-around performance, with the hope that his best game is yet to be fully awakened.

Some concerns around the pick do remain, however, particularly regarding limited experience and recent health issues. As reported by CBS Sports, Wilson played just one year of collegiate basketball, with the season being cut short after a hand injury late in the year, ruling him out for the March Madness tournament.

After securing Wilson, the Bulls went on to select Dailyn Swain, a dynamic wing from the University of Texas with the 15th overall pick, per the NBA. Swain's selection gives Chicago another versatile athlete capable of contributing on both offense and defense. Known for his energy, length, and ability to play multiple positions, Swain has the tools to become a valuable two-way player for the club. His addition provides the Bulls with further depth and flexibility as they continue reshaping their roster.

In addition to the new players, the Bulls have also seen significant turnover in their front office. The team recently announced the hiring of a new head coach, Tiago Splitter, a former NBA player who joins from the Portland Trailblazers after stints as an assistant and interim manager. The Bulls' job will mark Splitter’s first official full-time head coaching position.

In early May, the organization also changed over their primary sporting decision maker as Vice President of Basketball Operations, Arturas Karnisovas, was replaced after six years by Bryson Graham of the Atlanta Hawks, the NBA confirmed.

With a new general management, a new head coach, and two new stars added to an exciting young roster, the Chicago Bulls will hope this season marks the start of a promising future ahead.
