After nearly a decade of calling the downtown condo home, Kane sold it, incurring a loss of almost $1.2 million. Despite this sale, Kane still owns several properties in the Chicago area, including a luxurious residence in Lake Forest.

Patrick Kane's name will forever be associated with the Chicago Blackhawks and their golden era. Drafted first overall in 2007, Kane became the Blackhawks' cornerstone, driving the team to three Stanley Cup titles in 2010, 2013, and 2015.

His career has been extraordinary, earning him recognition as one of the NHL’s best and the first American-born player to win both the Hart Memorial Trophy and the Art Ross Trophy in 2016. In 2019, Kane purchased another luxurious condominium on the 25th floor of No. 9 Walton. The 4,700-square-foot residence, which he acquired for approximately $6.5 million, features four bedrooms and panoramic views of the city skyline.

The building is renowned for its luxury amenities, prime location, and an all-star roster of homeowners. In September 2019, Jonathan Toews purchased a three-bedroom, 4,420-square-foot condo on the twenty-ninth floor for $6.4 million. Jason Heyward, famed outfielder for the Chicago Cubs, also owns a $6.9 million condo on the nineteenth floor of No. 9 Walton. 

Kane recently purchased a Mediterranean-style Lake Forest mansion in 2022 for $5 million. The property spans approximately 1.2 acres on Lake Road and is just steps away from the lake. The home boasts luxury amenities, including a 1,600-bottle wine cellar, a steam shower, and a sauna. This acquisition was among the top five home sales in Lake Forest that year, highlighting Kane's significant investment in the area.

These properties showcase Patrick Kane's enduring connection to the Chicago area. He has combined his professional success with personal investments that solidify his ties to the community.

Though Kane’s professional life has taken him beyond Chicago, his bond with the city remains unbroken.
