In honor of Tax Day on Wednesday, April 15, several Chicago bars and restaurants are offering discounted menu items and half-price happy hour deals. Head to the following places on the big day to take advantage of these mouth-watering specials.  

Tax Day Relief with Free Open Mic at aliveOne

Bring family and friends to Lincoln Park for aliveOne’s half-price happy hour from 5-7 p.m., followed by free open mic at 8 p.m.

Tax Day Cocktail Special at Central Park Bar

This Avondale bar is offering a special Tax Day cocktail made with Beefeater London Dry Gin, Becquer Vermouth de Garnacha, Dolin Dry Vermouth, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao, and lemon juice. Central Park Bar is also slashing their happy hour in half, including half-off wine glasses in honor of "Wine Not? Wednesdays," plus sip on $9.5 beer and shot combos all evening.

Cody’s Public House in West Lakeview will have a special 1040 EZ Menu, featuring $10.40 beer and various shot combos.

Easy Bar's Tax Day Special

Head to Wicker Park for this bar’s half-price happy hour, plus $5.50 beers, $6 hard seltzers, and $4 shots available.

Tax Day Happy Hour at Estelle's

Also in Wicker Park, Estelle’s will have its own half-price happy hour that includes $5 domestic beers, $7 cocktails, and $8 chili dogs. The special will also include late night eats until 3 a.m., such as bar bites, burgers, and sandwiches. 

Tax Day Half-Price Happy Hour at Remedy

Those in Bucktown can come out for this half-price happy hour with $9 beer and shot combos, available all evening. Additionally, enjoy "Weird Wednesday" art night, comprising of coloring and painting all night long. 

Tax Day Early Bird Special at The Owl

In Logan Square, taxpayers can head to The Owl for half-off all cocktails and beers, plus a $6 Old Style & Malort special all evening. The dance floor will be open through 4 a.m.

Head to Lincoln Square for half-price happy hour, plus $9 beer and shot combos all night. Trivia begins at 8:30 p.m.

Those in Wrigleyville can swing by for $4.15 menu items, including a choice of 20 draft beers, a cheeseburger, or Stateside Seltzer.
