Local favorites Bar Siena and The Hampton Social open at O’Hare International Airport

Travelers at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport will now have two more local dining options at their disposal with the opening of The Hampton Social and Bar Siena at Terminal 5. Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) representatives gathered alongside concessions partners in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 16. 

The Hampton Social and Bar Siena opened their flagship locations in 2015, and have since become staples of the downtown culinary scene. The Hampton Social is known for coastal-inspired food like lobster roll sandwiches and clam chowder. Bar Siena specializes in pizzas, pastas, and other casual Italian fare.

"The opening of these popular local restaurant concepts at O’Hare Airport’s expanded Terminal 5 is an important milestone for our city because not only will these restaurants serve as a gateway to Chicago's world-class culinary scene for visitors and residents alike, but their inclusion highlights the opportunity for airport concessions at both O’Hare and Midway," Mayor Brandon Johnson said in a statement.

Both restaurants will be open daily at O’Hare, The Hampton Social from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Bar Siena from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. 

The additions of The Hampton Social and Bar Siena come near the tail end of the $1.3 billion Terminal 5 expansion project, which has increased capacity by 25% and modernized its facilities.

“The Hampton Social and Bar Siena represent the best of Chicago’s dining experience,” said CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee.“We are thrilled to welcome them to the newly renovated and expanded Terminal 5, designed to maximize the aviation experience for today’s traveler.” .
