The celebrated restaurant Ēma from Lettuce Entertain You opens its doors today Tuesday, September 10, in Glenview, IL. Known for its unique take on Mediterranean cuisine, Ēma aims to bring a fresh and vibrant dining experience to the North Shore. The newest location builds on the success of its River North flagship, which opened in June 2016.
“We are thrilled to bring Ēma’s lighter style of cooking to Chicago’s North Shore suburbs,” said Lettuce Entertain You’s Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs in a press release. “I am excited to offer Ēma’s dining experience right here in my own backyard and to be part of the welcoming community.”

At the helm of Ēma is Chef CJ Jacobson, a respected name in the culinary world. His dedication to using fresh, seasonal ingredients shines through in every dish, many of which are inspired by his travels and time living in Israel, Europe, and the Mediterranean.
Ēma's menu features a variety of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including spreads, dips, and shareable plates. The Glenview menu specifically features a few exclusive items: the Moroccan Onion Dip with medjool date and tamarind chutney, the Spinach & Feta Spread with crispy kale, and Octopus Carpaccio with calamansi vinaigrette.

Glenview residents can expect Ēma to bring a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The restaurant also offers a robust wine and cocktail program to complement its innovative menu.
Curated by Sommelier John C. Slatter, the wine list features over 70 globally sourced selections. When selecting these wines, Slatter focused on wineries that practiced organic and natural production across the Mediterranean, including ancient grape varietals from Greece, Lebanon and Italy.
