Restaurant group Lettuce Entertain You’s latest venture, Japanese fusion restaurant Miru, opened at the exclusive St. Regis Hotel on May 15, offering an exquisite menu and stunning views of the Chicago River and Navy Pier.
Located on the 11th floor of the St Regis (where rooms cost up to $1,000 a night), Miru is an all-day dining experience, bringing Japanese fare to the hotel’s patrons from sun up to sun down.
"We're trying to create a really lively, approachable restaurant that celebrates the flavors of Japan and the cuisine of Japan," said Lettuce Managing Partner Kiran Pinto in a statement to Crain’s.
Dinner menu highlights include Japanese fine dining staples like Wagyu beef and bluefin tuna, and a long list of sushi options. The lunch menu features the specialty St. Regis Burger, named for the eponymous hotel, and a selection of rice and noodle dishes.
Guests can also enjoy a classic Japanese take on breakfast with options like grilled fish, miso soup, and eggs.
The restaurant’s indoor dining room and lounge can accommodate up to 200 guests. Miru also features an outdoor terrace overlooking the Chicago River, living up to its name, which means “view” in Japanese.
