The month of May is off to a festive start with celebrations of both Cinco de Mayo and the annual Kentucky Derby this weekend. With the renowned Louisville horse race on Saturday, and the high-energy Mexican holiday on Tuesday, restaurants and bars all over Chicago are putting on epic parties to celebrate the occasions. 

If you're looking to sip on a marg at a colorful fiesta, here are the top places around the city to celebrate Cinco de Mayo this weekend through Tuesday.

Cinco de Mayo's Taco Tuesday at Moe’s Cantina River North

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Moe's Cantina in River North with an all-you-can-eat fiesta. This year Moe's is offering $35 unlimited tacos, with one serving of chips, a choice of guac or salsa, and a margarita flight.

Cinco De Mayo weekend at Bodega Taqueria in West Loop

Bodega Taqueria in West is celebrating Cinco De Mayo all weekend long from Friday, May 1, to Tuesday, May, 5 this year, with specials on $8 draft margaritas, as well as $7 Patron shots, $6 draft beers, and $11 Palomas. On Tuesday, they will also have a DJ for entertainment.

Logan Square's The Owl will feature $6 House Margaritas all evening for Cinco de Mayo. Half-price happy hour will run from 5-8 p.m., and The Owl will put on one of its legendary late-night parties through the early morning.

Cinco de Mayo at Robert’s Pizza & Dough Company

Don’t miss Robert’s Cinco de Mayo pizza weekend, featuring $33 margarita flight and pizza specials. Food specials will include Chicken Tinga Pizza with queso fresco and salsa verde, Cochinita Pibil Pizza with habanero salsa, Shrimp Ceviche, Guac or Pico de Gallo and chips, and Flan for dessert. Plus on Saturday, a live mariachi band will perform from 1-3 p.m. Make a reservation online.

Cinco de Mayo Margarita Special and Happy Hour at Estelle’s 

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Estelle's with $10 Margaritas, along with an additional half-price happy hour from 4-7 p.m. Delicious food specials include an $8 Chef's Special with either two cheese or chicken quesadillas. All evening, the bar will provide $6 seltzers and Tito's cocktails.

This Pilsen Mexican restaurant is hosting all all-day happy hour and taco specials, featuring a $20 meal package of three tacos, a tequila shot, and either a choice of margarita, paloma, or cerveza.

“Cinco de Meow” and Rey Supremo Margarita Special at Remedy 

Head to Remedy in Bucktown for Cinco de Mayo to sip on $10 Rey Supremo “Meowgaritas” and $7 Rey Supremo shot specials. Leading up to Tuesday, the bar is hosting an online "Cinco de Meow" contest on Instagram, where contestants can tag @remedy_chicago in their favorite cat photos for a chance to win $100.

Wrigleyville's The Graystone Tavern is celebrating this festive holiday with Taco Bell-inspired specials, including a $5 Boozy Baha Blast, $3 Tacos, $6 Nacho Fries, and $8 Mexican Pizzas. Additional specials feature $5 Teremana shots, $5 Teremana Margaritas and $5 Modelo drafts.

Cinco de Mayo at Tune-Up

Avondale's Tune-Up will feature a $10 Michelada special, and $10 beer and shot combos on Tuesday. From 4-7 p.m., the bar's usual half-price happy hour will give guests an additional reason to celebrate.
