Excitement is in the air as Chicago's Streeterville area welcomes The Cookie Bar by Summer House, which opens on Wednesday, September 3. Nestled at 161 E. Huron St., this establishment marks the first standalone location for a concept adored by fans of the Summer House brand for over a decade, the announcement states.

The Cookie Bar is set to be more than just a pastry shop. It will serve an array of housemade signature cookies, crafted by Juán Gutierrez, Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants’ Pastry Chef and winner of Netflix’s "School of Chocolate,” according to the press release. The daily lineup features Chocolate Chip, Raspberry Cheesecake, Birthday Cake, and vegan/gluten-free options.

Adding to the eclectic menu, customers can indulge in specialty iced coffee drinks courtesy of La Colombe coffee roasters and fresh-churned soft-serve, offered for the first time in the brand's history, the announcement details.

This new location will introduce imaginative creations like The Crumbler—a luscious treat of house-made cookies blended into soft-serve—and the Cold Brew Float, a blend of nitro coffee over vanilla soft-serve. Guests can tailor their soft-serve with toppings like house-made hot fudge and rainbow sprinkles.

The Cookie Bar's opening hours will be Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 12-7 p.m. Orders can be placed online for carryout or delivery via cookiebarbysummerhouse.com. Updates can be found on the brand’s Instagram at @thecookiebarchicago.

For the local Chicago community and visitors alike, The Cookie Bar by Summer House stands ready to offer a memorable mix of sweet and artisanal delights.
