Dubbed “America’s Largest (and Liveliest!) Urban Antiques Market,” the festival has become a seasonal tradition for locals and visitors alike since launching in 2003. This year’s Garden Party Season Opener takes place May 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1340 W. Washington Blvd. in Chicago’s trendy Fulton Market/West Loop neighborhood.

Shoppers can expect more than 200 vendors offering everything from antique furniture and mid-century modern décor to vintage couture, vinyl records, estate jewelry, global goods and one-of-a-kind collectibles. The market is especially popular among interior designers, stylists and fashion insiders searching for pieces with personality and history.

Calling Randolph Street Market a “flea market” barely scratches the surface. The event feels more like a European-style shopping festival, complete with curated mini boutiques, artisan finds, indie designer fashions and Instagram-worthy displays around every corner. Many attendees come as much for the atmosphere as the shopping itself.

Foodies will also find plenty to love. Organizers promise an expanded food court featuring local favorites and international flavors, alongside cocktails, coffee bars and sweet treats to fuel a full day of browsing. Live DJs and bands create a festive backdrop throughout the weekend, turning the market into an all-day social experience.

The market has earned national praise over the years from publications including Better Homes & Gardens, USA Today and Architectural Digest, which highlighted it as one of the country’s standout outdoor flea markets thanks to its skyline views, eclectic vendors and lively atmosphere.

Fans on Reddit describe the market as “lots of fun” with a “great variety of vendors,” especially for shoppers who love vintage fashion, art and collectibles. One commenter noted, “If you're open to the whole category of vintage you won't be disappointed.”

Beyond the May kickoff, additional 2026 market weekends are scheduled for July 25-26, September 26-27, November 14-15 and December 12-13, giving Chicagoans plenty of opportunities to hunt for hidden gems throughout the year.
