Burakovsky bought the home just under one year ago, in September 2025, for about $4.25 million to $4.3 million, depending on the reporting source, after arriving in Chicago from the Seattle Kraken, per The Real Deal and the Chicago Tribune. The Blackhawks moved him to Ottawa following a disappointing offensive season, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.
Luxury details and market backdrop
The home, built in 2021, includes heated sidewalks and front steps, bespoke glass doors, a private elevator, a roof lounge, a two-level outdoor terrace and a partial rooftop deck, according to the Chicago Tribune. Other features include a guest suite, a media and art room, a wet bar playroom with heated floors, a vintage Sputnik light fixture, and a primary suite with radiant heated marble floors, per the same report.

The seller, developer Steven Ciaccio of Domus Group, built the house as his personal residence, and the property had a $63,688 tax bill for 2024, the Chicago Tribune confirmed. The listing comes as low housing supply and steady demand are pushing Chicago homes to sell quickly, with some going under contract in as little as two days.
